About the Role

As the Machine Learning Team Lead at Zentist, you’ll shape the future of automated dental billing. You’ll lead a talented ML engineering team, architect robust data pipelines, and drive innovation that saves dental offices thousands of hours each year. Your work will have direct impact across the company and industry—powering smarter, scalable, and more reliable systems.

Your Team’s Mission

• Automate and Optimize: Build and refine ML-powered data flows that are essential to Zentist’s business and our customers’ success.
• System Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with a variety of dental back office and insurance platforms, expanding Zentist’s reach and value.
• Architecture & Scalability: Evaluate and evolve our technical stack, ensuring we scale efficiently to support thousands of practices.
• Quality & Delivery: Foster a culture of rapid, high-quality releases that continuously improve the experience for internal and external users.

About You

• Proven Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, including a lead or architect role building production ML systems.
• Hands-On Leadership: Strong record of owning architecture and implementation of web-based or data-intensive platforms. Comfortable guiding code reviews and mentoring engineers.
• ML Expertise: Experience with machine learning pipelines, model deployment, data engineering, and system integration. Familiarity with best practices for data quality and reproducibility.

• Continuous Leely keep up with the latest in ML, software engineering, and best practices—and bring that knowledge to your team.
• Technical Stack: Our environment includes Python 3.x, Airflow, AWS, Flask, Django, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Playwright, PyTest, React, and more.
