We’re looking for an experienced Backend Python Lead to drive the development of our high-load fintech systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Python and Rust, proven leadership in backend engineering, and the ability to design scalable, reliable architectures for mission-critical products.

✔️ About the Role:

You’ll lead a backend team, set priorities, and ensure smooth delivery of high-quality code. This role involves establishing engineering processes, overseeing architecture decisions, and handling critical incidents. You’ll collaborate closely with product and design teams to shape the roadmap and cut through unnecessary complexity.

✔️ Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers — set goals, review performance, motivate, and grow talent

• Build processes: code reviews, development standards, CI/CD pipelines, and task prioritization

• Own the architecture and quality of backend systems (Python + Rust)

• Delegate tasks effectively and track progress across the team

• Manage critical incidents — analyze fast, coordinate the team, and make decisions under pressure

• Work closely with product and design to refine requirements and align development with business goals

✔️ Key Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience as Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or Head of Backend

• Strong coding background in Python and Rust, hands-on when needed

• Experience with high-load systems (trading platforms, banks, hedge funds, large-scale fintech projects)

• Ability to set up efficient processes that keep the team productive and the product moving forward

• Knowledge of distributed systems architecture, databases, and DevOps tools
