About the Company:
A FinTech startup based in Mexico on a mission to transform the digital banking landscape in LatAm. The company has recently closed a major investment round.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Team Lead to take ownership of the brand-new backend engineering team, responsible for launching services in the new region. You’ll have the unique opportunity to build something from scratch while simultaneously having time-proven internal practices to base your strategy on.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the team end-to-end: hire talent, plan workload, handle task decomposition, and optimize internal processes.
- Manage team performance and day-to-day execution, ensuring timely project delivery aligned with business goals.
- Tackle complex technical challenges, conduct code reviews, and maintain a high standard of end solutions.
- Participate in architectural and system design decisions, contributing to the development of backend services in Golang.
- Establish the technical foundation for expansion into a new region, joining before launch and scaling the platform based on best practices from the existing market.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
What You Have:
- 3+ years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment (preferably, building something from the ground up).
- 4+ years of experience as a Golang developer.
- A nice blend of architectural expertise, people management skills, and project delivery experience.
- A self-starter attitude — you excel at cross-team communication, you thrive on process optimization, and you don’t shy away from tech/team-related challenges.
- Willingness to be a spokesperson for your team’s interests and advocate for your decisions.
- A big-picture mindset — product scaling isn’t just a buzzword for you, flexibility is a quality you’re proud of, and life-long learning is your philosophy.
- Good level of spoken English (B1+) and Russian (fluent).
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary + bonuses in EUR.
- Fully remote work from European timezones (flexible hours).
- Relocation assistance to one of the hubs.
- Company-provided equipment.
- Personal development plan compensation (training and language learning).
- Healthcare and Wellness budget.
- Paid vacation (20 days), including flexible national holidays.
- Paid sick leave (10 days).
- Growth opportunities.
