VFX Artist

VFX Artist (Part time) 

We are looking for a skilled Part-Time VFX Artist with strong experience in both 2D and 3D VFX to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience creating game-ready visual effects in Unity with a strong artistic sense.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement high-quality 2D and 3D VFX for gameplay, environments, abilities, weapons, UI, and other game elements.
• Develop and optimize VFX directly in Unity.
• Work closely with game designers, developers, and artists to create effects that support gameplay and visual direction.
• Optimize VFX for performance and different target platforms.
• Maintain and improve existing VFX assets and systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a VFX Artist in game development.
• Strong experience with Unity and game-ready VFX production.
• Good understanding of particles, shaders/materials, animation, lighting, and visual composition.
• Ability to create effects that are both visually appealing and performant.
• Strong attention to detail and a good sense of timing, motion, and visual feedback.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a part-time environment.
• A portfolio or reel demonstrating relevant game VFX work is required.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Unity VFX Graph and/or Particle System.
• Basic knowledge of 3D software such as Blender, Maya, or similar.
• Experience with mobile or performance-constrained games.
• Experience working with stylized or casual game visuals.
