UNIQLO, Fast Retailing Group – Head of Store Development; Russia/Japan 2013 – 2017
• Developed UNIQLO retail strategy and store expansion in Russia. Led real estate negotiations and secured top store locations in the highest footfall shopping malls in Moscow and St Petersburg. Managed legal, operation, marketing, and construction teams to support the opening of new stores in Russia. Increased annual sales by 260% by expanding store network from 4 to 20 stores over the span of three years.
• Led commercial and legal negotiations with landlords; achieved over 10 million USD annual savings by re-negotiating leases during Russian Ruble crisis in Dec 2015. Made significant impact on retail pricing policy during Russian Ruble crisis, secured positive operating profit margin by optimizing operating expenses by 17% and achieving 47% savings in future store openings.
