You'll architect and develop robust, scalable backend solutions, driving our computer vision data platform forward. What you will be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs forCVAT.ai (check CVAT.ai GitHub Repository)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into clean, scalable code
• Optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Integrate machine learning, computer vision models and AI tools into the platform
• Apply best practices in security and compliance
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold code quality

What we expect from you

• ‍Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Python 3+, Django (or similar frameworks)
• Familiarity with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and version control systems (Git)
• Comfort with productivity-enhancing tools and AI-assisted development
• Good command of English (Intermediate level or higher)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment

Nice-to-have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/ TypeScript
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Contributions to open-source projects like GitHub
