We are looking for a meticulous and strategic Financial Controller to join our leadership team. This role is critical to our business as you will be the guardian of our financial health, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing insights that drive profitable growth.
Our ideal candidate:
- Proficient in English at a C1 level, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an impeccable eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate effectively with all departments.
- Proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Educational and Professional Background:
- Over 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing, with at least 2 years in a controlling or similar supervisory role.
- A professional accounting qualification or a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Experience in a tech, real estate, or international company is a strong advantage.
What will you do in this position?
- Payroll & Contractor Management: Oversee and execute all aspects of payroll and timely payments for a team of up to 30 in-house employees and external contractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports in a timely manner.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and create regular forecasts to predict performance and cash flow.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments, including payroll obligations.
- Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures for all financial operations, including payment workflows.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all local (UAE) and international financial legal requirements, tax regulations, and labour laws.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to analyze project profitability, commission structures, and KPIs.
- Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Strategic Analysis: Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to Top-management to support strategic decision-making.
